(Cleanliness, recycling and beautifying of the school)
Objectives
★ We want to make our school a better environment for students to study in.
★ To make our school one that students will LOOK forward to coming every week.
★ Since it’s a new school, we should try to maintain its brand new look and cleanliness so that the new batches of juniors can see our efforts, enjoy it, and to contribute to our work too.
★ Make our school one of a kind such that other schools can never be like ours.
★ Although we aim for a new look in our school, we don’t want to waste our natural resources. Hence, we’re trying to reuse recycled materials.
★ We want to make the importance of recycling part of our daily habits and lives such that it will be a natural practice.
★ To create awareness and encourage students to reuse, reduce and recycle.
Goal:
★ To make Cedar a more conducive place for students to learn in.
★ To maintain our school’s brand new look and its cleanliness.
★ To make other schools envious of our school.
★ To make our school one of a kind.
★ Conserve our natural resources by practicing the three ‘R’s.
★ Let recycling be part of our daily lives and practices.
★ Encourage students to reuse, reduce and recycle.
How to achieve our goals:
Reward system for amount of newspapers contributed:
★ For every Friday, pupils will bring all their old newspapers to school to store it in their class.
★ After school, representatives will take the weight of the collected newspapers every Friday and for every kg collected (someone will be standing at the weighing scale to confirm the actual weight taken and record it), five points will be awarded. (Points will be awarded to best class award)
★ All newspapers collected will be sold to the rag-and-bone man at the end of the month and money earned will be given to the school.(e.g. to pay for the school’s electricity bills)-Megan Y.
